Engagement ring

What started as the realization of two individuals with infinite love for each other to be joined by the loop of marriage, developed into a surprise, fully custom engagement ring design with gemstones custom cut from rough stones from regions of our fathers: rhodolite garnet from Burkina Faso and moldavite from former Czechoslovakia. Concerned about the ring's social and environmental impacts, man-made sapphire and ethically sourced diamonds accentuated this gold ring.

Just like in ever-evolving architectural and urban design, my initial idea for a central opal from East Slovakia where my father was born or a diaspore from Central Slovakia where my mother was born had to be reconsidered as procured samples tested relatively too soft, hence inappropriate for a desired prong setting. Instead, I opted for a non-mineral glass with asteroid origins in East Czechia where a few of my ancestors come from. I also succeeded in sourcing rough rhodolite garnet stones from West Burkina Faso where her father was born.

Over a course of a year, I consulted and collaborated with gemstone archaeologists, rough stone traders, ring designers, lapidarists, and jewelry makers. I procured rough stones from traders in Australia, India, Slovakia, Czechia, Russia. No matter what task I am made responsible for, you can expect from me the same level of dedication, research, creativity, passion, and commitment!
